Blacks In Government marked its 30th Annual National Training Conference in New Orleans, LA August 11–15, 2008. The conference offered agency forums and workshops ranging from career development, financial management and management leadership. As a part of the training conference, Johnny Boggs participated in a Forest Service workshop entitled USFS Success Stories. He was asked by Marlette Lacey, Lead Facilitator for the African American Strategy Group, to serve on a panel discussion about Forest Service career success and opportunities with various agency employees including Dr. Jimmy Reaves (Southern Research Station Director).
